I love creative covers of the songs I know and love! If you’re into classic rock and metal but have an appreciation for jazz, you definitley want to check out the Alex Skolnick Trio.
Alex Skolnick played with Testament (actually released a new album with the band after a long hiatus) and is an accomplished jazz musician. The trio features Matt Zebroski on drums, and Nathan Peck on bass.
My favorite cover of theirs is Black Sabbath’s War Pigs
